In this MOOC, you will learn about the main needs of coastal populations, the activities developed by society to meet them, the consequences for the environment and for society itself and, finally, possible strategies to reduce environmental damage and improve the benefit to human populations.
It will be possible to learn a methodological approach designed to address these issues, adapted to various marine ecosystems.
It is aimed at managers, public administration technicians, professionals, graduates, postgraduate and vocational training students with an environmental qualification profile, to provide them with innovative, modern and dynamic training in areas related to marine ecosystems.
This course is one of the four MOOCs that formed part of the ‘Specialized TRaining on Applied tools for Sustainable MARine EcosystemS’ itinerary, funded by the EU through the TRASMARES ERASMUS+ project (2019-1-ES01-KA203-065536), coordinated by the Environmental Hydraulics Institute of Cantabria (IHCantabria), in collaboration with the University of Bologna (IT), the University of Coimbra (PT) and Telefónica Educación Digital (TED).
